Talking to children about race

Talking to children about race has has been that I have thought about recently as my son is about to be born into a world that struggles so deeply with the topic of race and really struggles with racial reconciliation. My wife and I desire very much to care for our child in a way that he will have a heart to serve not just people that look like him but people who look different as well and to be able to point them to Christ. That we will be able to impart a God that cares for more than just America, but for Asians, Latinos, Blacks, Mexicans, Whites, African-American, Caribbeans, Russian, Jews, etc.

So I came across this post by Thabiti Anyabwile about speaking to your kids about race. I encourage you to read it....even if you don't have kids yet. I would love to create some dialog about this. En joy!
