After the fund development training was done we moved onto campus training. This centered around multi ethnicity, evangelism, leadership development, and small groups. I think that covers it all (I'm sure I missed something). Instead of going through each of the facets of the new staff training, I will just speak on one. I'd love to talk with you about my time their if your interested.
I went to a session called "Saturation Evangelism". It was interesting, a different way of approaching evangelism. I'm still processing it but was intrigued by it. The session analyzed the "multiple modes, multiple team" approach within the value integration theory on a campus-wide level. It not only reaches many for Christ but also positively impacts the campus perception of evangelicals. That is a quick sum of the session. The session was done by York Moore who is the regional director of evangelism for IV in the Great Lakes East region and his website is www.tellthestory.net. The saturation evangelism event includes conversational evangelism, Proxe Stations, niche’ evangelistic events, and a main event. Check it out on his site.
